Located in the High Street, in the centre of the village, Christ Church is a worshipping, giving, and welcoming church. We usually meet each Sunday at 10.30 a.m. and our service typically lasts around an hour, followed by coffee and occasionally lunch. We make space for worship, believing it an opportunity to encounter God and hear bible-based teaching that helps equip and encourage us to engage in the world around us. To that end, we strive to be an open, praying and loving people, who serve a life changing God in our community.
If you are new to the area, we'd love you to visit us; or if new to church itself, perhaps join us at one of our more informal 'Alternative Services'. Either way, you would be most welcome.

What is Alternative Church?
Except for January and August, the first Sunday in each month is an Alternative Service, an informal way of being church together that is based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. We aim to make the services accessible to everyone, valuing informality and fun, with practical activations that help us explore our relationship with God.
The early church met and ministered together wherever they could, often in family homes, over mealtimes. This seemed to work for them, so we have refreshments available throughout the morning and finish off our time together with the option of an informal lunch.
These services are particularly good at creating a space for those searching spiritually and curious to hear more about Jesus.
First Sunday in every month (except Jan. & Aug.).
'ROOTED' is an open space for the young people of Stock and beyond to catch up with friends, play games and discuss life topics, all with the added bonus of food!
"Hanging with friends" is the prime activity teenagers engage in as they navigate the same stage of development within life. 'Rooted' is a space that encourages kids to keep their social connections with each other, whilst exploring issues that are relevant to them. Food and fun are also included, - a must for any decent youth club!
